Use Gloves When Working on Your Pond
There
are several good reasons to wear gloves when
working on or in your pond.
Pond gloves were designed to keep you dry.
They are large enough to keep arms and hands
completely dry and to help you to avoid muck
stains on your hands and fingernails. They are
made to cover the full length of your arms and
have elastic bands on the to hold them snugly to
the upper arm.
The gloves usually measure about 28 inches in
length. They are made from thick PVC material
with fiber reinforced sleeves. They are usually
available in two sizes. When you need to work on
your pond on your filter, these gloves are
perfect for keeping your hands warm and dry.
These gloves are also designed to allow you to
work efficiently in the pond without
contaminating the delicate balance of the water.
Because the gloves keep both arms and hands
completely covered, they also protect you from
any possibility of skin contact with the water
or with the living things in the water, thus
preventing any stings or allergic reactions.
